2003 – College Graduate Working at McDonalds, Living in Mom’s Spare Bedroom - $7/hr.
2004 – Move 800 Miles From Home to Start Crummy Job So I Could Pay Student Loans - $40K/Yr.
2005 – Build Relationship with Key Supplier, Ask For Job, Get it, Move 800 Miles (again) – $55K/Yr.
2007 – Evil Corporate Employer Pays for MBA, Offers Promotion - $70K/Yr.
2008 – Decided to Change Jobs from Technical to Commercial Area of Evil Corporation - $85K
2010 – Asked For and Got Promotion - $100K.
2011 – More Hard Work, More Payoffs – expect to make $115K this year.
Along the way, I got married, bought a house (made double, triple, quadruple payments to keep up with the market losses) bought a convertible, had a son, sold the convertible so I could pay cash for a used minivan… and paid my debts.
I am proud to be part of the 53%.
